I have called multiple times to report speeding at the park in old district Siloam Springs and they officers response time was amazing every time I call sometimes lovey send up to 3 units. One of the officers even spoke with me to assure me they were here because I called. To see people post on here about racism is nothing but stupidity, the sherif department is just doing there job which they don't get paid enough to do. When you need something they are there, give them a break.
Very helpful
Had an issue with death threats, when I made a report there was never a fallow up. A few of the officers think they are above the law. I had a horrible experience of not being protected or served!
My daughter now fears as do we, that she will now be targeted while driving. Such action by Siloam police would reflect poorly upon the department, the beautiful town, and the state of Arkansas. Hopefully our fear is misplaced. Police are the best that our citizenry has to offer. Peace be with you ,God Bless.
yesterday my mom was humilated and treated very disrespectful at approximately 3 to 430 pm at braums she was not allowed to leave nor was she under arrest she was wearing only her night dress she was even willing to let them keep the whole twenty dollars if she could just go get me something to eat elsewhere she was scared to move due to fear of the disrespect she was receiving from this officer who basically called her a liar when her name did not come back through the system the first time all she asked them to do was count to twenty to solve the issue or let her go and keep the money because her daughter needed food she was crying all afternoon due to this incident where at the end they still said she was lying we respect the police and have many police officer friends she encourages all children to never be afraid of them because they are there to help how are kids supposed to trust police when they make your mom cry because they did not have a a good reason to detain someone who was willing to give braums all her money just to resolve whatever problem that employee was having that day police officers are a very important part of every community and she respects them and is grateful for all they do. i hope thyis officer rethinks how he handled this situation and offers her an apology she is not violent and very ralely even cusses because that is not an option
My daughter was falsely accused of shoplifting by a retail lady and when questioned by responding officers was treated as a thief. One of the officers tried using psychological tricks to get her to admit to something she hadn't done. A violation of the 5th amendment. When searched they found nothing and the accuser changed stories several times claiming it was one product then another and another. The accuser also claimed that another hispanic couple had reported the crime but there was no other couple. Having found nothing after searching her vehicle with her permission but without warrant in clear violation of the 4th amendment the officers let her go with an ominous verbal warning and I quote "you got away with it this time". As if insinuating that she will now be targeted and further harassed. Emotionally shaken and scared she called us , her parents, to report the encounter and for comfort and advice. I hope that the chief addresses his officers and their treatment of the people whom they serve so as to live up to the stated pillars of constitutionality and values outlined in the Siloam Springs police department website. Let us not forget that we are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
We sent our daughter to get a fine education at the university of her choice and she chose JBU. She was born at Darnell Army Community Hospital when I was stationed at Fort Hood. To think that the day after veterans day the daughter of a veteran would be thus treated in small town USA perhaps because she is not as white as the locals is sad. I hope that the accuser who made the false statements is at the very least issued a warning. The accuser's name supposedly is Spring, and she works at the Sally's Beauty on 200 Progressive Ave, suite 60. You may know her, go to church with her have had gone to school with her, but justice wears a blind fold and carries a set of scales. Justice is impartial and unbiased and fair and should never be obstructed. Do what's right always even when no one is looking. To give Miss Spring the benefit of the doubt, she may have truly, innocently suspected my daughter of the alleged crime since my daughter didn't purchase anything from Sally's after all but such accusations and making false statements is a crime in and of itself and care must be taken before making such a report. Worse yet, doing so under oath is perjury for which one may be incarcerated. I work in the security industry and would be glad to donate a surveillance system to this store so that such reports can only be made with evidentiary support beyond a reasonable doubt.
